California Wine Growing in the Spring

Spring in California wine country is when grapevines start to wake from their winter hiatus. In early March you’ll find new buds spring up, signaling the start of the grape growing season.

During the day, you’ll find vineyard crews busy tying and training vines to the wire trellis systems spread out above the grapevine rows. Throughout the season, they will care fo these vines and shoots to make sure they get enough sun and air.
